SBI CBO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Additionally, professional degrees such as Engineering, CA, CMA, and other equivalent qualifications are also eligible.
Experience (as on 31.12.2025):
Applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed under RBI’s schedule.
However, candidates from non-PSB or non-RRB institutions must show a minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.50 lakh for each year of experience. Therefore, proper documentation such as Form-16, AIS, pay slips, or employer certificates becomes essential.
Age Limit:

SBI CBO Salary 2026 and Benefits
SBI offers an attractive pay structure under JMGS-I. The starting basic pay is ₹48,480 along with two advance increments. Moreover, the full pay scale ranges from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920. In addition, selected officers receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or lease benefits, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund/NPS, Leave Fare Concession, medical benefits, and other perks as per bank rules. SBI CBO Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of four stages, and each stage plays a crucial role in final selection.
Phase 1: Online Examination
The objective test carries 120 marks and includes English, Banking Knowledge, General Awareness/Economy, and Computer Aptitude. Notably, SBI has not introduced negative marking. Additionally, candidates must complete a 50-mark descriptive test that includes letter and essay writing in English.
Phase 2: Screening

Phase 3: Interview
The interview carries 50 marks, and candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks.
Phase 4: Local Language Test
